SOME HAIKUS
Haiku is a short poem of three lines. It is supposed to be about Nature.
The first line has five syllables; the second, seven; and the third, also five.
The pattern is thus: 5-7-5.
Billows of star points
spread wide in the sky above
showcase GOD’s Glory
The age gap is great
No way can the two be one
Hopeless forever.
Clouds billow above
The light wind rustles the leaves
Red ants swarm the walls.
She walks in my dream
I whisper you are my love
She keeps her answer.
She sits in glory
A wonderful sight to see
Sadly not to hold.
Standing grandly
An enchantment to behold
Sadly beyond reach.
Gabby's eyes meet mine
Bars surround her in the crib
See her laugh with glee.
I sense her coming
The shaking turns violent
Her sighs fill my heart.
Say the Holy Name
Pinpoints of light the darkness
Hear the Divine Sight.
Dots of white flames blink
Blanket the immensity
Glimpses of heaven.
The brief interlude
A fleeting vision of you
Too painful to bear.
Afraid yet to ask
Dreading to know the answer
I maintain silence.
Looking with yearning
She gloats over the distress
Despair has no end.
